Having graduated from Venice’s IUAV University in 1989, Nicola Chiavarelli has been practising passive, eco-building techniques since before it became popular in the architecture world. He is also a technical trainer for sustainable construction as well as a consultant for the Province of Trento (Provincia Autonoma di Trento). In the past, he has even collaborated as a designer for the National Trust of Italy (FAI).

He founded the studio DIMAdesign in 2018, expanding his field of expertise to include commercial design and property development consulting, for projects throughout Italy and abroad.
